Kèr Zdiyāgon (Zdiyā /gon/ [urine] [closure]) is a subtropical Town located in Lokikrutpeha Dutchy, Tafogin Provence, within the Dalandic Empire.

The name Kèr Zdiyāgon is derived from the Tauric language, as Kèr Zdiyāgon was founded by Dyêtco Wynner, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Kèr Zdiyāgon has a yearly average temperature of 23°C (73°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 26°C (78°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 21°C (69°F). Kèr Zdiyāgon receives an average of 135 cm/y (53 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Kèr Zdiyāgon covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 5068 m (16627 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Kèr Zdiyāgon was founded durring the early 11th century, by Dyêtco Wynner. The establishment of Kèr Zdiyāgon was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Kèr Zdiyāgon's construction back out of the project. Dyêtco Wynner pushed on reguardles, and Kèr Zdiyāgon was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Kèr Zdiyāgon was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the early 11th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Kèr Zdiyāgon is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature delicute timber framework hidden behind layer upon layer of finly ground plaster bleached to an almost glossy white sheen, with green clay tiled roofs and decorative brass-leafed trim. Even the smallest, poorest looking structures appear to be expencive thanks to the extreem elegence of the organic shapes and paterns going into their lofty, spire-y, vagly gothic designs. The more well off folks live in identicle homes, save for even shiner trim and a more whimsical appearance to their structures flowing forms.

Kèr Zdiyāgon is buildings are speckled and packed arround spacious cobblestone streets with seemingly no patern to them. It appears as if the town's residents simply built streets as they pleased and squeazed buildings in wherever and howeave rpossible, creating an organic, frustrating to navigate, maze of a town. The town posesses a fortified albit thin wall of querried stone. This wall posesses most of the features of a castle wall, though it is constructed from cheeper inferior stone. It would pose a minor chalange for an attacking army, though it's clear the wall's true purpose is to crush the hopes of bandits and marauders. The failry decent fortifications have not been wellmaintained over the years, and while functional are in dire need of some loving care and perhapse light renovation.

Kèr Zdiyāgon has the unmistakable air of a town on its last legs. Everything is a bit slipshod and ramshackle. Everyone is at work, or drinking. No one has anything in their eyes other than fear and despair. Whatever industry once fueled Kèr Zdiyāgon ’s existence has dried up and the town is drifting down the stream of history as it dries up. The people are clearly worried about something, and everyone is either wearing a weapon or has one close at hand. Your gut tells you it’s not mere fate which has caused this town to begin failing...

Civic Infrastructure

Kèr Zdiyāgon has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Kèr Zdiyāgon. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Kèr Zdiyāgon's parks.

Kèr Zdiyāgon has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Kèr Zdiyāgon.

Kèr Zdiyāgon has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.

Kèr Zdiyāgon has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Kèr Zdiyāgon has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Kèr Zdiyāgon's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Kèr Zdiyāgon possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. These lights provide nighttime illumination to most city streets.

Kèr Zdiyāgon has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Kèr Zdiyāgon's natural decorations nor waterways.

Kèr Zdiyāgon has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Kèr Zdiyāgon has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

While Kèr Zdiyāgon might ostensibly be ruled by some other power, real control lies with the senior members of the local craft and labor guilds. Their decisions have the practical weight of law, and much of their time and effort is spent squeezing out competitors and parceling out economic opportunities in the community. Some guilds might have little or nothing to do with their original trade, and now exist purely as shells for political influence.

Kèr Zdiyāgon's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used embraces individualism and experimentation. It emerged as a movement against traditional, classical styles and sought to make buildings dynamic and fun while breaking the rules. The style incorporated elements of previous architectural styles in exaggerated and whimsical ways. Traditional, conservative leanings were void in this era, with most scholars of architecture agreeing it was a time of “anything goes.”.

Due to the actions of local Kami, spring is skipped in Kèr Zdiyāgon.

The Cloud Dragon, Wyrmling near Kèr Zdiyāgon are known to be almost tame, such that they can be put to domestic use.

Kèr Zdiyāgon's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in autumn and involves sacrificing an animal to channel Transmutation energies of tier 3 via oath swearing.

Economy
